sump???????????
Ok guys I want the diffinitive answer to the chop the sump or not to chop the sump question. My sump nut at the moment is about 2" below the
level of the rest of the car.

Just posted the question "What Engine" but then saw in your avatar you have a ZX9.
If it hangs 2" below the chassis and you are running regular ride height then its gonna be pretty vunerable especially if you drive on the road
a lot, as opposed to track where there arent any speed bumps hopefully!, However, best ask other people's opinion too: as you might know I could
be seen as having an indirect vested interest in telling you to chop it, as my uncle can do em for about £50 (he did Jasper's etc).

Yes definitely do it, get Chris's uncle to do it, lovely job, fully baffled, and sump plug put on the side - a much safer place for it.
You don't want to loose your sump plug - eh Chris - cos you'll probably loose your engine.
You loose very little capacity too.

LOL, escaping sump plugs are not good for engine longevity, as I can testify!
