R1 stoped starting
Hi al..
After adding a wideband to my car (MNR VortX 2003 R1 powered), the car doesn't star anymore 
The bike loom gets power (I have the main switch wired in a toggle switch), I can use the manual fan override (the fan kicks in), if I press the start
button, the starter cranks, but I don't hear the start relay nor the fuel pump kicking as soon as I turn on the power (as it used to do)
For the wideband, I've added a new switched +ve from the bike fuse box (which had been unused since I butched the wiring loom many moons ago)
and soldered an extension for an earth. The wideband, fed by the bike's loom, is working perfectly.
I suspect I've accidentally disconnected a wire, but I can't imagine which by the fault sintoms.
Help?

Well it comes down to
Fuel
Compression
Spark
Can you ensure you're getting a good spark?
If you've got a spare spark plug it shouldn't be that difficult, pull a HT lead off, plug the spark plug in, hold the side of the plug
against a metal part of the engine and turn over the engine on the tarter. Spark will be obvious. Or, if you're not holding the spark plug
against the engine you'll feel it!!!! (not recommended).
If you haven't got a spare spark plug and you're using a spark plug from the engine make sure you unplug the fuel pump supply otherwise
you'll have unburnt fuel vapour pumping out of the engine and sparks flying- potentially dangerous combination!!!
As you're not going to have upset the compression, if you've got a spark, unless you've upset the timing (difficult when
you've only installed a wideband) its got to be fuelling....
Could it be something as simple lack of power to the fuel pump? It's normally easy to tell if the pump is working cos you can hear them clanking
and (if you've got a transparent filter) see the fuel flowing through the filter...

is it possible to crank an engine without the ignition being switched on? (obviouly not with a key type ignition)
i think i managed to do this with my old mini once. can't remember, it was years ago.
you mentioned a wire may be not connected. i'm sure you'd have checked all this though

Hi guys!
Thanks for your replies.
I was thinking about 'em when I remembered something really DUMB (hopefully that 'ill be the cause)
One of the time when I took the scuttle off, I saw that the switch I have in place of the tip switch was switched off. I switched it back on but
I've since moved the scutlle again a few times.
The garage is not in my place, so I can't check it right now.
Would the tip switch cause the sintoms I've described?!

...and is the switch the right way up? Word "up" should be on the top not mounted with the writing the right way up. I know its run before
but I've seen it happen (an experienced company spent a week looking for none start on a race car and it was the switch...oh how I laughed when
I spotted it...but they didn't see the funny side!?).

OK... Sorry all of you guys... the lean switch was turned off... bugger. Started first time when I switched it on.
