Blade experts...Info needed
Will a 2007 model 1000cc blade be a straight swap for an RRX version ? I'm talking the
physical side, exhaust headers, mounts, wiring for alternator, starter.
Some wiring will be different as obviously the ecu won't run the injection but will
it do the ignition allowing something like megasquirt to do the efi ?
Cheers,
Nige

I'm no blade expert, but seen as you've had no response....
I would almost certainly say that the RRX (2000 last carb'd model ?) engine mounts would be different along with the exhaust ports and all the
management.
Also I think the later blade engines are taller than the earlier ones.

Just to add, in my opinion, it'd be much easier with a standard loom for the motor than messing around with a megasquirt.
Never wired a FI blade but the FI R1 is simple and straight forward.

yea - totally different beasts in every way... there are even slight changes to the loom over the carb'd blade engines - you you are going
through 3 generations from 919cc through to the 1000cc injected lump...
Mark.

RRX is the last of the carbed engines and last of the engines based on that block. The 929 / 954 is similar but not the same, later engines are
completely different
