Is the R1 4XV head gasket same as later 5PW?

I'm after a thicker head gasket for my 2003 5PW R1 engine, Mc-Xpress list one but at a reasonable price but its for the 4XV, see here:

http://www.mc-xpress.com/eshop/product.asp?intProdID=36

Searching around to try and see if they are the same I found this:

http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73380

specifically this bit:

"I don't know if this will help you....
PN 4XV-W11181-70 has been superceded to
5PW-11181-70 with this description:
HEAD GASKET R1'98-'03 T=0.50"

If a 4XV numbered parted has been superceded by a 5PW one that seems to suggest they are the same, plus the 98-03 bit etc.

Anyone heard anything the same or different?

I know they are other options like run 2 standard ones or a plate from Ferriday.

Anyone know how much a standard 5PW head gasket costs - still not found anywhere that lists Yamaha bits online with prices that are cheap (like David Silver for Honda)

Cheers

Had a very quick U2U from Malc to confirm it IS the same gasket.

So looks like I might order the McXpress one...

Anyone know the thickness of a standard R1 gasket so I can work out the compression drop that the 1.7mm one they sell offers?

I don't know the size, but if you call Malc (MB Customs) he may be able to help you and also get the head gasket itself for you...
