Engine numbers
Hi all, i have seen a r1 bike engine for sale that i am considering for my next build but the advert says the engine numbers have been removed as it
came from a stolen rec bike, the seller says he will provide a reciept but how do we go on when it comes to registration with no numbers on it?
any advise thanks gerry

I would guess that would be a problem, as you do need an engine number for reg, personally i would steer clear from it!

Is it the 2004 R1 on ebay? I saw that and wondered how big an issue it would be.... Cant be good for registration purposes "so sir, why is the
number missing?"!

my first car had an engine number but when it came to the DVLA she couldnt read it so put it down as ABSENT
it says absent on the logbook
for the SVA I presume it means you will just have to meet the modern emissions test
