Busa water pump question

Hi there

I'm still struggling along with this busa and I have removed the waterpump to fit the Nova scavinger pump but there was thin water pipe atatched to the outside face of the water pump that goes to the head just below the throttle bodies. Whats is this pipe for and where do I connect it to now ?

I guess I will be using the Davies craig electric pump to replace the std busa one.

Thanks in advance
Jason

The pipe is the 'stat bypass.

Ive removed this and the stat, welded a boss onto the stat housing and fitted the DC digital controller temp sender at this point.

If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

If you are going to buy a Davies Craig pump get it from the Australian Ebay site. Even with the carriage of about $40 A. it still works out much cheaper.

So doe's this mean I don't use the stat with the DC pump?

I did get a quote from OZ about the pump postage charges and it was $80!!

Thanks
