The beast has landed (With pics)
Its one of those things...someone offers you a good deal, completely out of the blue, and you accept....I hadnt intended to ever build a BEC, but
after seeing this, a switch to the dark side was inevitable
It just so happens that the item in question is very very fine indeed!
Its depressing that I have to finish my old mans sev7n before I can get my teeth into this 
Im trying to decide what to do with it. Do I make it road legal and loose some of the handling, or just save myself the effort and stick it on a
track... Either way its going to be quick...I can lift the front end of the car off the ground with one hand
So far jobs to do include:
Build a new adjustable peddlebox with cable clutch
Fit ZX9R engine
Re-do the dodgy brake piping
and give the thing a bloody good clean and paint...
(and yes, before anyone asks, that is beer in my tool chest)
And yes, its TINY!
The bodywork is not very well attached, so it all looks wonkey
Its also a bit low...

Interesting! Is it a Clubmans car? I drove one many years ago as it was one of our school cars - really great fun - it was called the Fridge as it was
about as aerodynamic as one and some of the ali panelling was decidedly second hand!
I'm no expert but a BEC conversion should be relatively easy dependant on the position of the output from the bike gearbox in relation to the
central tunnel and the available width.
I'd be tempted to sprint / hill it and do track days. The words SVA and nightmare spring to mind!

Yes I do fit. Im built like a pencil...I just need to move the peddles forward so I can get my legs in comfortably...
There is quite a lot of space in the engine bay so I should be able to sort something out with the bike engine...
Im not actually sure what it is...Clubmans, hill climb, sprint....I havnt got a clue!
The aerodyanmics on this thing dont look too terrible actually..

Formula 750 which is similar in layout to clubmans but doesn't have anything like as many proprieatary chassis available.
It's a real working punters formula with ingenuity being the key. I like it. A lot.

Yeah - 750 probably. Lots of home built, clever engineering. I'm sure it was defined as front engine!!

Didn't they have a robin reliant engine?
I'm not joking!
I seem to remember a 5.7ltr chevy Ultima doing a 47 second lap at lyden hill and winning the kitcar series (92-3 I think) and a 750 doing it in 45
seconds.
The reliant engine was tuned from around 30bhp to about 80bhp.

Looking at the exhaust and propshaft, it wouldnt supprise me if it had a reliant robin engine in it....
Looks like the chassis should handle the 140hp that im going to throw at it though..
The chassis is quite impressive, someone has put a lot of thought into it!

That'll be a Reliant Robin engine ;-)
They used to have that, they now use the Fiat FIRE engine.
(Fully Integrated Robotised Engine)
How sad am I ?...
Anyway, based on the pics, is it front or mid engined ?
Oh no, another can of worms !!

I was just scroling down, ready to type what you said. You and me both mate.
Why not ask at 750formula.co.uk. Seem a friendly bunch and you could easily lose and hour looking at their builds.
