Replacing clock face

I am about to change the clock face on me 98/99 r1 clocks. Does anyone know how to take the rev needle off so I can put the new clock face on.

On any other face I've messed with you just pull them off mate.

when i did mine i found a teaspoon either side and gentle pressure to lever it off worked best but it does feel like they're going to break HTH Roger
