It is an oil pressure warning (or whatever the sensor is that is in your engine). There is also the oil temperature gauge - but that is different
again.
The diagram is quite easy to follow. It even labels the inputs as +ve or -ve so if in doubt, get the multimeter out.
My oil pressure light is on when the engine is off, and goes off a second or so after starting the engine. Have you got to grips with your engine
loom? You need to make sure you are using the right wires! It took a while, but steady methodical progress can be made!

I think it's linked up th the oil level wire on the R1 loom (white One) i'm not sure the R1 has a oil pressure wire/sensor?

Most oil systems use a low pressure switch (i think) - not knowing the R1, I would still assume it does too! When the oil level drops significantly,
the pressure will drop. It is for this reason people choose to fit an oil pressure gauge, as waiting for the oil warning light to tell you it will be
too late!
