R1 sidelights
i'm using r1 switchgear and clocks(5vy) on the fury and as far as i can tell from the r1 owners manual the headlights come on with the
ignition,so what is the best way to wire the sidelights in.do i just fit a 3 position switch ie.off,sides,headlight.i should add that wiring a plug is
my limit with electrics so keep answers simple please!!!
thanks andy

i think you will have to wire the side seperately as it needs to work when the ignition is off
i used a seperate fused feed from the battery

I don't have an R1 manual to hand, but I think you may be able to put a switch in the Brown with Red wire. that way there is a
break in it until you've "switched" it back on.

I'm using a 5pw loom and clocks but have swapped the right hand switchgear for the earlier type (5jj or 4xv i believe) as they have the on/off
switch and rewired it to suit.

Side lights don't have to work with ignition off for SVA (altough thats the normal way).

But they do for subsequent MOT's.
There should be a side light circuit as part of the ignition switch circuit.
