Go back to footman james with the lowest quote and they may get under it (which I did).
I rate them over Adrian Flux as they have some strange rules regarding pre-sva and cancelling your policy after 30 days if you don't provide a reg number.
They don't refund any of the premium either.

There's something wrong there.

Footman James insured me and the wife for £102 full comp on my R1 engined MAC#1. I'm 36 and she's 33.

I had one years no claims with them and a company car driver, so transfered NCB.

I'd ring them again there's something a miss there. And I'd tell them £9k although they'd still only pay out 'current market value' but worth stating it.

Hmm, it seems most of you guys are paying a lot more than me. Must be because of location or something.

My GSXR1000 MK is insured by Sureterm for £96

I am 29 with 3 Points SP30 and no claims, driving since I was 17.

Another vote for Sureterm Direct, for a sub £200 premium inc European breakdown cover!

Oh, and if you do decide to insure with them, tell them I recommended you and get me a lovely discount of my premium next year!

Marty, did you tell them it was a BEC, or did you just say it was 1000cc? If the latter you may want to ckeck with them because it seems awfully cheap, especially given your age and points, so although not directly your fault you could even end up not being insured if the underwriter wasn't aware that it's a BEC.

Yes, they know its a Bike Engined Car, I have a full list of the spec that I sent to them and they returned signed to acknowledge they hd included everything in the quote.
I have ran foul of insurance companies giving a quote over the phone and then realising they had quoted for the wrong thing before so these days I am very careful with them.
I think living on the Island helps with my quote, try getting a stolen car off the island, as soon as you quote the number plate on the ferry they nab you.

I sorted my insurance yesterday. Fury R1('06). Get weighted for my post code and I'm "motor trade" so that puts it up. Comprehensive, £8000 agreed value, euro cover, etc.

Quotes started at £532 Road Sure, £478 Graham Sykes, £214 Adrian Sykes.

Went with Sureterm Direct at £187. Of all the phone calls, they were also the ones who knew the most about kits and BEC's.
