Gas Mileage for Hayabusa BEC?

I'm surprised at how good the gas mileage is for our Hayabusa Fury with the Freelander 3.2 diff. I'd be interested in hearing the gas mileage from other BECs especially other Hayabusa powered cars.

Thanks
Chet

High 20s to low 30s on a cruise.
Diddly squat when ragging it

Bear in mind a UK gallon is bigger than a US gallon (4.55 litres vs 3.8 litres) so add 20% to UK mpg figures for the equivalent US mpg.

A US gallon is 16 oz. An imperial gallon is 20.

My 1998 carbed R1 BEC does 30 MPG in normal (full throttle to the red line) road usage, 35 or more when driving gently and 20 on the track. Thats 24, 28 and 16 in US gallons.

Factor in that the busa is 30% bigger in capacity but only 20% more powerful due to lower revs and also factor in fuel injection and you could expect a bit less. Although my car is a bit lardy at 1180 lbs so a lighter car would tend to use less.

Mind you, 24 MPG is a super eco friendly car for you American boys so we're told.
