f/blade ratio ( chain diff )

I am making a BEC with chain diff, trying to find out what size sprocket to use on diff as i am using original front sprocket.

could you not just count the teeth on the front, and then decide what ratio you want
by dividing rear with front

i.e if you had a 17t front and a 55t back, it would give you a ratio of 3.23


i could be talking nutsack btw.

I might actually be right for once. Just been out and counted the sprockets on my OMS
14/44 which gives a ratio of 3.14

The logic looks good to me.
Bear in mind that wheel size will impact this, BUT you might not want to gear the same as the bike, ie 160mph for obviois reasons
