Plumbing

Now it looks like ive almost finished the wiring - at long last! Im now starting on the cooling system on the R1(02-03). Ive seen some diagrams on the net but with the mnr supplied pipes its not quite the same. Firstly does this look right short pipe from the stat to the rad top and the bottom pipe from lower rad to the water pump?

If that looks right then second question what is this pipe exiting oil or water and where should it connect?

Thirdly on the stat there is a small exiting pipe where should this go?
I also have an open connection leaving the oil cooler(part of r1 block not a seperate cooler) and a piece exiting the the lower mnr hose mid way between the rad and water pump.

Sorry about all the questions, any help will be greatly appreciated
Adam

Thanks for the reply, i had seen that diagram but i dont have a pipe outlet on the top hose so im unsure where to connect the oil cooler. With that AI system pipe if using a sausage filter should i leave it open to vent or attach it to the mounting panel for the filter?
cheers
Adam

The oil cooler outlet should go into the top hose. You could put it into the bottom but that means it feeds the hot water back into the engine.

If thats the case could i feed the thermostart small pipe to the oil cooler or is water being pumped the opposite way?

Just to update after hearing from Marc at MNR its apparently fine to attach the oil cooler to the bottom hose as he has this setup.
