Strange starting problem ?
I've been fitting and connecting the lights to my striker and in doing so I have been switching the ignition on, testing the lights then
switching the ignition off again, after a few hours of doing this I thought I would start the engine to put some charge in the battery, the engine
started but sounded a bit lumpy, I switched off, checked a few things out and tried again but this time it would not start.
I removed the plugs and checked the spark, all OK, there also seems to be more than enough fuel present.
I have left overnight and tried again but nothing !
Any ideas as I'm out ? Engine is R1 5vy.

2nd that,if using a bike battery it does not take much to disscharge them

Yup. Sounds like not enough juice in the battery to get the ECU working... Charging the battery will get it sorted.
Don't keep on trying to start it until you've charged it, bike batteries are a little bit fragile and don't like being deep
discharged......

I thought that so been trying to start with jump leads from other car.... turns over fine. Battery is on charge thou to try tomorrow night.
I was thinking it was flooded as loads of fuel about ?

Bike engines don't like being repeatedly started up & then not used as tends to happen when you're building a car. Probably got a set
of fouled plugs - dry them off in gas flame 7 leave in the oven for 1/2 hour or so will probably do the trick.

could be (if) it's injection that theres a prime pulse on the injectors every time you turn on the ign hence the flooding.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Got the plugs out at the moment to dry off, also hopeing any fuel in the chambers will evapourate with plugs out. I'm not going to try again
till Fri evening or Sat Am.... I think the fuel is slow to evapourate in the cold weather.
