Stalling on Tickover

I've a problem with my ZX9 that I seem to recall only happened befor on my SVA and as my retest is a week Wednesday, it seems to know and is starting again.
The engine's stalling on tickover but only when it's hot. If I rev it it's fine from about 2000rpm upwards but before that it'll tickover around 1000-1100 then stall. If I try to drive it, all be it up my drive it holds back before 2000rpm.
I'm thinking maybe something to do with the pilot jets or possibly the blocked breather hole when I re jetted it. Any ideas?

If the pilot jets are blocked it'll be ticking over rough.

They can block quite easily as they are very small.

Hmm. Ticks over fine from cold to warm and even he other day it was fine when I had the headers glowing it was just today after driving it up and down the drive a few times to test the brakes.

Why would the headers be glowing?
sounds like it's running weak, which may also account for it not picking up cleanly

I had the headers running to test the emissions sorry. It's not something that happens normally, I was revving the spheres off it to get the CAT up to temperature. I think it is a little lean as I seem to remember you have to lean the ZX9 to get the emissions and I think I'm just there.

Trouble is, if its too lean youre in danger of detonation, melted pistons or other temperaturerelated problems.

Personally, i would probably have left it ticking over for half an hour than scream its nuts off, especially if i knew it were running lean.

I think there's confusion here. When I had the headers glowing was last week and the car had been warmed up for at least half an hour before I did.
Today, the car was running for about half an hour or so to warm it up and clear the exhaust (I get a lot of condensation and it takes about 15 minutes for the exhaust to be blowing clean) It was then that I tried driving it up and down the drive and the holding back/hesitancy started and then the engine cutting out on tick over.
