Linkage routing for an MK Indy?
Hello all, as I have broken the mounting for the gear lever changer cam pivot I am looking to fit the Dax paddle shift set up.
I have got the paddle shiter to fit the steering column ok, but can not work out the best route for the long rod to the engine bay. It has to go from
the RHS of the steering wheel into the bay , then to the cam , then to another rod to the gearchange lever...
Any ideas greatly appreciated

Thanks for that, do you have any pictures of the arrangement after that, as in what happens to the vertical rod to the gearchanger?
Thanks

No.
But it really should be pretty straight forward.
You have a gear spigot that is a splined shaft coming out of the engine.
To that you attach an arm that comes toward your rocker(CAM) for the rods (although vertically below it).
And then the vertical rod joins them both together.
It really should be obvious in your car. Even if you have to shorten one of the rods (the vertical one) it still should be self explanatory...

Thanks Steve, am sure I will get it to work soon enough! Just seems a bit awkward with angles and stufff at the moment!

Well, after a bit of head scratching I thought why not put the linkage on it's side? Here is a rough trial fit:
Can anyone see any issues with this?
If Ok will weld up some decent brackets to hold the cam and go from there
