Snapped one of the posts on it last night and aiming to whack my Barnet in Tomorrow

Does anyone have a spare one from a shagged engine kickign around for some beer tokens? Andy Bates has one but it involves stripping an engine to get to, however worse case he can hook me up for £30 + postage, but wont get it until Monday.

Just to clarify, it's part number 14 in this image (on behalf of Kriss):

If it is part 14 above I think I have a couple good ones. If it is part 16 I have one good and one busted one.

Always remember to replace the piano wire with a new one and fit with care.

Or better still, throw away the piano wire + parts 11, 12 and 13 in the diagram above and replace with a nice standard size clutch friction plate. This will make the clutch more resistant to slip.

This is what sidecar racers do to beef up the clutch. I've done it to all my R1 engines, works a treat.

I agree with Paul. Only downside is that it makes it judder/rattle a bit more. Not a problem on a race car but a matter of taste on a road car.

You must be going soft in your old age Jim

I must say I noticed very little difference when the anti-judder mechanism was removed, just a more positive action. Maybe i'm just insensitive....

Probably am going soft. Even got a winscreen nowadays.

If you were sensitive you'd be a an RGBer with mechanical sympathy which must be a contradiction in terms

Just to clarify:
dump 9, 11, 12, 13 and replace with a single 6. Is that it?

Cheers,
Joao
