Sanity check.. 2003 R1, clutch fitting / oil

Today i fitted the Barnett clutch to my 2003 R1.

Removed old clutch.
Put spindle behind Barnet plate.
Fitted long springs, tightened bolts.
Pulled clutch arm and fitted cover
Tighten cover
Checked clutch movement.

Now heres the thing....

I have tried the clutch and engaged gear, it feels no different than before.

Is this normal before i fill the engine with oil? ? ?

you should leave new plates in oil over night and then fit with new springs it mite feel like the clutch is a wee bit stronger to pull if new springs are uprated and yes put new oil in hope all is ok for you

Doubt you'd really feel the difference under a size 9.

Trust that it will make the difference

Just done the same in mine, and to be honest it hasn't really changed that much (pressure wise with my foot) but now have no clutch slip and much better pickup

When the clutch plate is bolted back, is it right that the clutch plates are clamped very tight together........
