Swap to bike engine, does the VED get reduced?
So, a 2.0 Zetec taken out and a 1200cc bike engine installed, the DVLA informed, does the road tax come down, and if yes, from what to what?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Do it!
Just re-taxed the F27.
So this is the drawback of a Q plate - £200 VED - don't even pay that on the SAAB for chris' sake!
Gnash, gnash.

so a change of engine but having a Q plate means that your still paying the higher rate of tax?

Information here on how to change the details and hence the tax rate

Mine is on a Q but I don't pay £200 per year (capacity is 1074cc).
