R1 Turbo Exhaust
I have got my turbo on the car and im now looking at different exhausts that i can use. Ideally I want an exhaust that would allow me to do track days
and one that doesnt restrict power. Currently it has a standard r1 exhaust but i have heard they are restrictive (never had another exhaust on the
car). Would the cbs exhaust below be a better exhaust for the car? or should i just save the £250 and use what i have.

You defiantly don't want to be using the R1 can would be to restrictive, mine is a 2 1/2 inch straight through silencer and very quite.
You will be amazed how quite your car will be with the turbo on it, even the induction noise is quite compared with a conventional bec running a foam
filter.

Ditto the above.
I haven't got above 7krpm with my new turbo build, but it doesn't seem to be too loud.
Running a 2.75inch downpipe, that reduces to 2.5inch and then I have a Jetex 5inch x 450mm silencer hidden in the sidepod. It seemed loud but that
was all the holes in my manifold, which are now fixed!
My concern is that although the turbine takes a lot of the noise pulses out of the system, once the wastegate is wide open it stops doing that. This
effect is noticeable at fast idle. So, noise test will be fine as long as it isn't when at full chat.
I had a 2inch silencer (MK one) which previously served me well, but it was a little too long and I needed the exhaust outlet to line up with the hole
in the bodywork.

Thanks Dave, i thought that would be the case. Who was your exhaust from?
Has anyone used the CBS exhaust? is it any good? can anyone recommend any other suppliers?
