Hi Ian, welcome to the best kit car forum in the world!!
I suggest you use the search button. I think both of your subjects have already been covered.
I can advise about the prop shaft. If your worried about slack noise while driving. Its quite common the becs have backlash in the prop. The engines
have very light fly wheels so change speed quickly.
Stylus are nice. A good few owners on here.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

re setup
hi all thanks for the replies
been out today on short run, 30miles, things are a lot better since i have made some adjustment to the
gearchange(homemade)and replaced the diff. the gearchange still a bit clunky but not as bad as it was on my first trip out. still like to find out
more about suspension setup, they are spax coilovers with 9inch spring open length and 180pounds rear and 8inch springs 275 front. the engine is
totally standard apart from pipercross airfillter and 122 main jets in carbs with one of the air intake jets blocked off. is there anything i shud
look out for regarding engine and performance, the back end seems to hold ok on the road but front end seems to bounce quite a bit, im running 15inch
wheels and struggling with speedo i have a koso rx2n digi dash all working fine but struggling with speedo setup it active speed censor on the front
flange from the engine. im not a mechanic but love to play with bike and cars. my car is not perfect but i feel ive done a pretty good job of it so
far
thanks ian

I have 250lbs springs on the front and rear of my Stylus.
I would guess your fronts are too hard and your rears are too soft. Prob guess 200 on the rear I have 250 but I am a bit of a bat fastard.
I would guess 250 might still be too much for the fronts as the bike engine will be lighter than my Crossflow engine. so maybe 200lbs might work.
Do you have adjustable damping too? THe front might be bouncing about if there is no damping on it, find out how many click you have and where its
set.
It might just be a trial and error to learn what changes make what difference or spend £££ and take it to a professional for setup.
I just took Robs advice on the Stylus forum and tweaked it from there. But with your bike engine its going to be a little different.
I have some 200lbs 9inch (2.25id) springs that I took off mine if you want to try them on your rears. But if you feel the rear is fine then just try
changing the fronts.
