refoaming sausage air filter
i have a choice of splashing out £80 on renewing my piper cross air filter or the cheaper way of just removing the old foam & putting new stuff
on, having never done this before any tips & recommendations/ links to reputable sites that sell the foam sheet would be appreciated or would you
say its a bad idea?
last question why are they called sausage filters, are they a PIG to get off?

Why do you want to re-foam it?
If it is because the filter is dirty then it can be washed and re-oiled.

I seem to recall on here a few years ago someone asked the same question. You can get the foam, its something like industrial filtration foam. A
search will probably throw up hundreds of answers but you may find it (or it may all be in my mind).
