FS. 954 blade donor

Just had a customer in who's son has asked him to get rid of his 02 CBR900rr. He wondered if I knew anyone that might be interested in the complete bike or as a donor then sell off the extra bits.

It'snot run since he went to Afgan' and has a flat battery now but was fine before. 18000miles on the clock approx he thinks but can't check with no power.

I've no idea what sort of money they go for normally but he's looking for £800-1000

Is it smashed up, an 02 Blade will fetch nearer £3000 if it's got a test on it.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I have since got a little more info via the lad that works for me who's a mate of his other son. I've now spoken to the dad again and confirmed this info and got a bit more. We were interupted when I spoke to him so thats probably why he didn't tell me, rather than him witholding info...

He was wanting £1000 for it min. A dealer who looked at it and started knocking the price down.

It's the complete bike. No MOT. It's not moved since his son went away 5 years ago.

Apparently (according to the dealer) it needs tyres (don't know if thats 'cos of wear or just been standing/age) and there's some surface rust on the shock legs (though he says it cleans off when rubber with your finger) and the battery is dead.
