CBR RAD

Hey, i've picked up a cbr1000 radiator for my R1 engine, jus wondering if any1 has done this before and have pics?

Also is it ok to mount the rad inside the frame in the "Crumple zone" space in front of engine??

Thanx

As you are building it, it is your choice believe it or not

As the Rad will restrict flow of air... the air will choose the path of least resistance, which would be where you don't want it, down the sides. Can't see it having much difference though... apart from adjusting stuff and possibly getting to the clutch? It's just much simpler at the front of the frame. the room inside the frame is pretty small and restricted.

Just a thought...

HTH

mount the rad inside the frame

I'd thought of doing similar to cut down pipe runs probably using something to duct air to the radiator from the front.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
