Noisy 3rd gear - Fireblade
Hey I'm new here, but my car (Indy Fireblade 954) isn't.
I brought the car back in January and I've done a few track days and plenty of road time in the Indy since I had it.
Last Tuesday I was at a track day @ Donington Park and I overcooked it into the blind right hander, ended up in the gravel trap, my excuse was that it
was very wet!
Since then the Indy has sounded like a bag of spanners in 3rd, but only really 3rd. What should I be checking?

I would drop the oil out and take the sump off. That will give you an idea if something has broken, if the sump/oil has bits of metal in it.
Were you in 3rd gear when you had your mishap?
All I can think really is that the wheels locked and maybe sheered something or damaged the teeth on 3rd gear?
You can probably pick up gearbox internals cheap, but you'll have to split the crankcase to change them ( I think anyway)

Odd symptom
Any more info, did you stall it/run the engine backwards or didi you get the clutch in in time.
Symptom sounds like bent selector levers, but cant see how that would have happened , hence the q's.
