Using CBR1000RR Fuel Pump & AB Performance Fuel Swirl Pot
Okay guys, what am I missing this time.
Round pump & oval aperture... how does this work?
I'm not wanting to bother Andy with this as the answer is probably extremely simple and straightforward.

Is your pump supposed to look like this?

Just dug out a spare 1000RR pump from the garage that was supplied by Andy. You need a pump from a pre 2008 bike

you can still use the older pump and have the ecu control it. I let the ECU deal with it on my Arion instead of just hard wiring the pump constant

Ah, bugger! Didn't realise the pumps had changed.
I'm using a 08 / 09 engine and electronics - I understand that the ECU controls the pump on that MY, so I'd prefer to stick with it (the
08 / 09 pump).
I could only see an oval shaped one on AB's page, so assumed that they would go together.
Oh well... not like me to end up with mis-matched parts! AB fuel sump coming to a for sale section near you soon!

Cheers... probably best that I sell the 08/09 fuel pump, keep the billet pot, and get a pre-2008 pump.

Hi Scootz - use the earlier steel pump - it delivers same fuel pressure and flow and fits the swirl pot perfectly - we don’t use the plastic ones as
they are prone to cracking with excess vibration found in cars
Hope that helps
Andy
Ps - stock fuel pump relay will control it normally
