Engine Positioning
So - I've got this CBR1000 motor to go into my xflow engined car. And obviously I've been giving thought to engine position because of
prop angle / Sump angle and exhaust clearance etc.
Anyways, I've been checking out the few CBR1000 engined cars I've been able to find. One belongs to Kissy and is a book locost from what I
can tell. the other is in an MK Indy.
To cut a long story short, they seem to have vastly different engine positioning.
Hopefully the attached file will illustrate this point.
Who's example do I follow, or are they both right ?

What Codec did you use for the AVI? It can not be found automatically by media player.

Sorry about that - that's what I get for trying to be clever
It's the DIVX 5.0 codec - according to Gspot

IIRC, the key ingredients in a BEC installation are:
1) Prop Angle to the diff - you need this as straight as possible.
2) Engine Lean angle - sump needs to be as parallel to the floor as possible.

Be careful. UJs don't like running straight; they'll hammer themselves to death. Three degrees is the figure IIRC.

If you have a look in the BEC List archives on Yahoo Groups under Files - Pictures -
Simon CBR1000, there are a couple of engine pics of Simon Neil's old Striker that had a CBR1000 in it, may be of use.
