Fuel Pump Location

I am using the R1 fuel pump (carbed) in my 7 and was wondering on the best location (either next to tank or next to carbs) and if it needs to be below the line of the tank outlet?

Thanks

well

if i was you put in near the tank,

because pressure they all give plenty,
and in that way the pump can better cope with the resistance in the tube etc..

if you put it unther the level is a choice more of luxery then nececary, as far as i'm aware all the pumps suck good soow no problem i think..

tks

Thanks! One more thing - are they affected by their orientation? ie. lying down or standing up? Not sure how they lie in the bike.

I recall my Facet car fuel pump was supposed to be positioned in a certain way.....
