Rolling Road

Up to the rolling road today, By balancing and increasing the main jet size, increased max power by 12%.
The main jets were inreased from 126 to 135's
We tried with my home made air box off and on. We found that there was a slight increase in power and a more even power curve with the air box on. I was worried before hand that the air flow through the box meant that it had to go through a slightly less than 90 degree angle. I was prepared to cut a hole in the bonnet and put on a sausage. BUt this will not be necessary.
The down side is that I have increased noise too. Now back up to 102 Db -bugger!
As a temp measure I will try the stainless steel wool in the exhaust. I'll have to bite the bullet though and buy a bigger and longer can.
Taking into account the losses in the transmission it was 126BHP supposably.
Sounds about right for a Blade.
