proof of engine size
can anyone help supply me with contact number for honda to get written proof of engine & size for dvla

You should not need it, take a few photos of the engine showing the number, and do a pencil/wax rubbing of the number off the block. Send that to
DVLA. I did and got my Pinto substituted for a CBR1000. They were very helpful. I've read elsewhere that old british bike enthusiasts (the
bikes not the enthusiasts) have to do photos and rubbings to reclaim reg.nos. Hope this helps.

If you still need the number for Honda UK, try 01753 590510 and ask for Guy Mock. It'll cost you about £30 though for written confirmation.

i had a letter written by my local friendly MOT tester stating
Engine number
Engine size
Chassis & Reg number of the car it was fitted too
He then crimped the letter with his stamp, I posted it along with log book, got new one back in around 2 weeks.

Go to your local Honda dealer and ask him to draft a letter on honda headed paper confirming engine age ref'd to the honda computer system-
worked no probs for me and cost me absolutely nowt!!

Unless its a 95 engine, in which case you will need to know whether its pre or post August.
