Help with engine set up!

Right, finally got the battery fully charged, new plugs fitted, exhaust manfiold and silencer fitted, 5 litres of BP Ultimate in the tank, pump primed and ready to start the engine.

Checked water levels, oil level and it's in neutral and fired it up!

It runs but even with the choke fully in it seems to idle at 5000 rpm, which is way high. No tension on the throttle cable and adjusting the idle screw makes no difference.

Any ideas welcome.

Other than a mega idle speed seems to run OK, no leaks or anything!

Nothing that complex marc, but cheers for the response.

It was down to operator error. I had turned the idle adjuster the wrong way and it'd come loose. Fixed it now, happily ticking over at 1250rpm, temp guage up to 1/3rd and I chuffed to bits!!!!!!!

Now how do I post a video of this occassion??

Ben, you still up in Newcastle?

Could do with some help re-designing my pedal linkages, because about 1mm of pedal travel = + 2,000 rpm. Seems a bit over sensitive.

Heard from Chris_R?

Cheers
