gear box's
for a bike engined car do you retain the bike gear box?
just been looking at a bec site where they appear to take the drive off the splined shaft where the front sprocket usually mounts

They use the bikes gear box and run the propshaft of the splined output on the box.
No reverse mind you.

Yes they do use the bike box, on virtually all suitable bike engines you couldnt separate the engine from the gearbox anyway, even if you wanted to
use an antiquated H pattern gearbox rather than a 6 speed sequential

well thats made things easier in my mind, i was wondering if the bike ratios would be ok for a car,
how do you parallel park than?

i bet thats looks very classy, you turn up in your fancy car and have to push it into your parking space 
can most of the rest of the car be based on "the book" with modifacations in frame ect to accept engine or is a pretty much entirely
different frame needed? where did people find the info for this?

bike engine fits much the same as a car engine, drop the engine in the chassis and make up brackets to pickup the engine mounts. you will need a two
piece prop with a uj in it(correct me if im wrong chaps ) Some engines such as my zzr1100 have a deep sump so a balance between bonnet clearance and
ground clearance has to be made. On the zzr you can fit a sump set of a gpz 900 to get more clearance, or you can contact chrisGamlin on here for a
bit of sump choppin

Buy an electric start from an old bike and the spag clutch assembly then knock up an electic reverse on the propshaft.... Ebay bits for £20 and a
bit of ingenuity.

i am very intreagued on how to build my own reverse gearbox, matt12 or anyone else give me a hand on what bits i have to source from ebay, or/and ho9w
i connect them together? would be very much appreciated.
