GT1 trackday
Well we survived. Me and Jon got there around 8am and managed to get a pit garage. Scutter arrived at 10ish and helped us with a little problem with
the clutch. 12pm and more bodies than you can shake a stick at. Marcus came to see us, cheers mate, Jon's lad and a friend, MK and a few others. Good
day out, learnt a lot, including: we need sticky tyres and a Blackbird engine. Jon's pretty smooth and quick tho'. We shall see at the end of the
month. Much work to do to get the car race ready. Any volunteers? Don't all shout at once!

you forgot to mention there is now a 4x4 sierra and a escort cosworth doner available......., both pretty terminal, one roll'd, one stuffed into pit
wall........the thing i was most happy with was consistant lap times, not hit n miss, and the fact we know what to do to get where we want to
be.......as posted below,
THNX TO ALL WHO CAME A LONG TODAY.........

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

The poor lad who stuffed his Saphire Cosworth into the pitwall was clearly upset. It looked like he lost it exiting the chicane, spun backwards and
instead of hitting pit wall ,he went through pit entrance and also missed the tyre wall. He hit side on full into armco barrier under grandstand
,ripped off his offside wheel complete with strut, shattering brake disc. There was superflex bushes flying everywhere. The car looked a write-off.
When it was towed away by wrecker the rear wheels where bobbing up and down and rear diff was making horrendous noises. hope he was insured

My son took a digi pic of it, i will post it when he sends em to me, he was on the outside of craner curves when it happend and heard the "thud"
must have hit it pretty hard, bet the people in the grandstand above got a shock,
the white 4x4 was no suprise having dodged him a couple of times, but the black one was going and been driven well, expensive day out for him, "there
but for the grace of god" i think they say.................
