BEC & CEC Shoot out Santa Pod 2008
I was just wondering if anyone would be up for a fun day out at Santa Pod, late summer. I haven't thought of a date yet, but obviously not to
clash with any other events going on. I thought that we could have a bit of a competition to find out who has the fast BEC over 1/4 strip. It would
be good to compare results, from the standard engines, to the modified,turbos etc....... We could go for different classes, but I think the best way
is just the best car on the day
What do you think? Anyone up for it? Don't all be rushing off to buy a turbo now!!

Ill be up for it Santa Pod's not far from me almost within towing distance so if it all goes a bit pear shaped at least i can get the car
home
I know you said bec but would it be worth including cec's?
During the later part of summer we were talking about it at one of the Northampton meetings quite a few were keen to do Santa Pod this year mainly cec
though!
Anyway it would make the bec's look faster

The answer seems to be: in order to beat a CEC you need a blackbird engined car with NOS and Slicks

Mark, I believe the question was '...which is the quicker bec or cec..'
You have already listed the results from York, so you clearly have the answer......... BEC. You seem to have conveniently forgot to mention that the
fastest car there had well over 300bhp and a turbo fitted and still lost out to the BEC.

Great pleased to hear you guys are up for it. And yes good idea to invite the CEC's I'll try and sort some provisional dates out and sort
out with the Pod for us to have an area. Great to see so many of you interested and thanks for posting up the results form York, with a bit of
tweaking here and there lets hope we can beat last years results! There will be trophies for the best times!
