Wobbly Sprocket Adapter

After buying a second hand engine that had previously been in a BEC I've notice there is a bit of play in the spocket adapter. The drive shaft has no play in it and the bolt is fully tight.

Is it usually to have some play in the adapter or do I need to remove it and get some suitable washers under it?

Thanks

Shouldn't wobble mate. Get a washer on it.

Cheers

The adaptor is probably slightly shorter that the splines to allow the fitting of a sprocket tab washer.
