Massive thanks to Jambojeef

for coming round last night and helping me convert the Indy from a cable to hydraulic clutch.

Good news, started it up this evening and it worked! First time

Managed to stall it a couple of times going round the block, it's a bit more on / off than before, but hey it works!

Was concerned about what would happen if I pressed the pedal too far, so I've just fitted a "Hellfire" style pedal stop but will have to wait until tomorrow for more clutch practice!

Good stuff

I was sorry to see you drop out of NTMT so soon on Saturday - I was looking forward to having a good nosey round your car for ideas to pinch for my own Indy!

How did you go about converting to a hydraulic clutch?

Steve, I was totally gutted not to make it up to Peebles. The Etterick Valley road past the Buddhist Monastery is my favourite 7ing road.

Geoff, no shortening of the push rod yet, just installed a stop to limit the pedal travel so I don't bust the clutch. But bedtime stopped play, so I've got the weekend to practice my clutch control / hill starts etc.

Cheers again!

Mike
