Pink Floyd (Dave Gilmour is a Guitar playing God)
Genesis (Don't mock, saw them at Knebworth fab!!)
Guns 'n' Roses (Paradise city is playing as I type)
Keane (Only just discovered and very melow)
Queen (Had the P*SS ripped at school for liking them in the 70's, 80's and then became cool in the nineties)
Led Zep (Of course)
Robert Palmer (Great heavy chords)
Peter Gabriel (Great songwriter)
Roger Waters (As above)
Jethro Tull (Mix heavy guitars with folk! Respect!)
Marillion (Great songs great band (with Fish IMHO))
Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Say no more)
The Darkness (East Anglian and great)
The Divine Comedy (Songs that no one else would write)
The Corrs (Just look at them!!)
U2 (From Achtung baby and anything live)

Cheers

Mark

David Jenkins,
having just read this old thread (again) I saw you like Villa Lobos...wow! I had never heard of him till I came to live in Brazil...nice music too. Also, you live in Great Bentley! I was brought up in Ardliegh, close to Dedham, worked in Ipswich for a few years too.
Music I listen to when building...Queen
Fat Boy Slim
Led Zep
assorted Brazilian music no-one here knows

Classical, jazz, opera at home on the real hi-fi.

Tim
