My Crashed TL1000R

The insurance company has written off my TL1000R that i dropped at 10mph outside my house.

I can buy it back for £1000. I dont want it but if someone else has a use for a 14000mi Blue/White TL1000R and the cash to buy it, then contact me in the next day or so!

Ive already said to the insurance company that i dont want it, but i have the assessors number, so can change my mind!!

Kindest Regards,
Richard.

great trick is to act insulted by the cash offer for a replacement, and say we could haggle over this for weeks, or you could let me buy the wreck back on salvage retention cheaper and I'll accept your offer.

Thats what I did each time its happened to me.

What condition is it in now? any pics? What type of impact?

You might not get a full grand for it depending on how smashed up it is - fully faired bikes cost £££ to fix up, then they have to be sprayed! Plus its winter and with the credit crunch etc. etc. if it was a TL1000s then I bet you'd have a bit more interest.

What category is it?

u2u me the details, I might be looking for a cheapy to rip the fairing off and run NAKED!

Almost. Its a W reg and has bits of Orange in the fairings. I dont have any pictures of the damage, but its basivally trashed the top fairing, RHS middle fairing, and belly pan, both levers, RH Engine cover is scuffed, Right hanger U/S, exhaust pipe RHS scuffed as is muffler, Swingarm has a small graze - Purely aesthetic, but i didnt want it which is what put it over the top of the repair costs.

Why not buy it back from them and part it on e-bay?

Engine + frame & V5 alone could make you back your money, then it's profit.
