Doesnt run with power commander

Hi, Is there any reason why my engine wont start with a power commander plugged in?

Steps ive done;
Disconnected injector wiring and plugged in PC3
Plugged in 9v PC3 battery
Uploaded software to laptop and sent stock map to PC3
Given it 15-20secs to save then started it and nothing

It starts before and after the PC3 in so anyone got an idea?

Cheers
Adam

Try a 'Zero' map and see what happens then.

If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

I uploaded the 2002-2003 european R1 stock map - not a zero map. Does lean it up at 2-20% throttle position. Il try the zero map and check the earth(im sure it was ok) but if anyone else has got ideas let me know.
Cheers

Have got the green light on the PC? If you have then my guess it that it's bolloxed The PC gets its live from the injector live and obviously the neg from the earth. Check the connections on the PC's plugs and sockets as one of mine just fell of in my hand!

PC lights up when igntion turned then goes out so i have it hooked to a 9v battery as recommended. With the battery - lights come on and as you press the acc it moves up the fuel counter and it allows me to upload maps so surely its working? Il test the earth and try a zero map tomorrow.

I don’t know the busa wiring at all but on the ZX12R the PC takes power from the rear brake light switch loom so is just an ignition live. As its in the kitcar this loom isn’t there so I joined it to another live. But I did think about using the injector’s power off the bike loom as it close to the PC. But I changed my mind as the ECU controls power to all the various engine parts and if its got a problem or safety cutout it cuts power to them (in what order I don’t know) and maybe you have that problem. Maybe its getting power from the bike loom and the ecu is switching it off because it thinks its shorting out or taking to much current?? When you say it lights up and then goes out can you hear the fuel pump working and then stopping at the same time?

Will it run with the 9v battery connected? Can you id the power wire and disconnect it from the main harness (if you cut it you might void you warranty so look at removing the pin from the plug?) on mine its on an individual plug so I can do this but yours may be all on the main plug making this harder.

Are you sure you have the right PC for the model and year of your engine?

Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.

The PC in the Busa gets it's live from the injectors which are a perm live

Just to clear it up its a FI 2002-03 R1. Ive made a new earth as the continuity was on and off plus i checked and the lights on the PC power up then down with or without earth where as i though if its lighting up it must be fine. I changed to a zero map and checked on all 4 connections i got a definitive click as one i think is a bit broken as im sure some of you will know how strong the clips are. I didnt start it as the battery needs a charge but will let you know if it starts tomorrow evening but thanks all the same.
