Battery cut off/ fia master switch wired to kill switch, sva ok? And location?
Right not sure if this question should go in electrics, sva or here, but anyway....
At the minute i've only got my ignition switch (key) as a form of security, and obviously need 2 for sva, now after searching on here it appears
that a battery cut off/ fia master switch will do as a second all fine until i was told yesterday that it won't because all the keys are the
same?! I'm sure people have passed sva on here with them as the second device? Can someone confirm this please?
Right onto the second part of the question, i want the fia switch mounted within easy reach of the driver, this will fail sva due to the
projection/edges, now can i mount it temporary under the bonnet for sva then move it on the dash post sva?
Also for sva can i just wire it to the bikes engine kill switch, to save me having to make up extra battery leads because i'm only going to move
it after sva? Then wire it up properly after sva once i've put it on the dash?
I also need to figure out how to wire it up correctly (4 connection fia approved type) to prevent the engine damaging itself, i'm sure i found a
wiring diagram someone put on here once but can't seem to find it now...
Any help very much appreciated

It is my understanding that the second form of immobilisation must be out of reach of the driver.
So I am using a Transponder immobiliser as primary method and a Battery Cut off switch under the bonnet for secondary method.
I am using an engine kill switch wired into the existing loom just as an extra switch on the dash...

Don't you mean it must be out of reach of the driver?

I have been told a cut off switch and key for ign barrel will be sufficient and that is how i will run it to SVA as we have a paddle shift theres no
chance of a steering lock. Key is on dash and cut off is on scuttle under bonnet

A battery cut off will be fine, I just used a hiden
switch under the dash for my SVA last week. As long as the switch is behind the steering wheel exempt area it will be fine
