R1 5VY Air Filter/s
I intended to fit the original air box, modified i.e. twisted 180 degrees but i'd still need a nasty mod to my bonnet to accomodate so I'm
looking at alternatives. Fitting a sausage filter isn't that straight forward due to the prescence of the fuel rail etc. Two options which have
come to mind
1 use the well part of the air box with a back plate bonded on and a sausage filter
2 fasten the standard velocity stacks on and fit 4 foam socks directly to the stacks?
Any thoughts, opinions, other options?
What will this do to the set up?

I used about 2cm of the lower part of the standard box( as it's got the rubbers that make the seal on the TB's), then bonded a base plate
to that.

everyone seems to have gone for the 1st option then, is there any reason why 4 separate socks wouldn't work?
If i'm going for No1 anyone got a reasonably priced supplier of sausage filter and backplate?
