Clutch change on a ZX9R engine

Hi folks new on here could anyone tell me how difficult to do a clutch change on a ZX9r engine is?

I i very compitent mechanic and do all my own engine work etc

But i've never really messed about with bikes an awful lot

I have a ZX9r powered Stuart Taylor and reckon the clutch is on it way out (has done 6000 miles) and i'd rather replace it before it goes!

Also trying to find a manual or Haynes guide for the ZX9r engine does 1 excist?

Never done one on that engine, I'm sure someone who as will be along but suspect if its a typical bike engine clutch change its a 30 minute job that can be done by anyone who can open a bottle.

Unless it's like the ST1100 where you have to try and undo a clutch nut held on by 110Nm and it's staked to the nut so you have to either drill it out or try and prise the stake off first

buy a haynes manual for the right model zx9r.

It will pay for instelf many times over, better than torquing something up wrong and it either falling off, or snapping!

Very easy job, as long as you take note of the order the fibres and steels are in, and put it back right.

nowt up with it yet but the clutch pedal has sunk and is now bitting at the bottom, have checked and nothing has come loose, so i'm putting it down to clutch wear as i've been using it alot , going sideways alot which is mucho fun
everyone just wants ago in it whenever i take it out

It needs new tyres already lol!

ordered a hayne manual and clutch kit will get it fitted next week then have it checked over and give the carbs a tweek, balanced and fresh plugs
