power commander

Got a 2nd hand power commander PCIII USB, I'm not ready to put it on the bike yet but would like to plug it into the p.c. and take a look at the map. I've plugged it into the p.c. with the usb lead, it registers its there but it doesn't pick it up, in the software. I'm thinking I need to power it up but don't have the 9v plug, anyone got a spare or tell me which terminal is which on the plug / socket for + and -ve.

Cheers
Andy
