ZX12R Power CommanderIIIusb help please

One: will I need one for road use?

If I do I have a couple of wiring questions.

I have rewired some of the loom removing unwanted wires.

Then realised what a Numpty i've been by not keeping the 16pin (grey on 2005) plug.

Just what the PCIII needs.

I think I can reconnect the plugs which should sort that problem.

But looking through the PCIII manual they show a ground wire and a 2 pin plug as well.

Does any one know what the 2 pin plug is for, or connects to.

The 2001- instructions states brake light switch.

Hi, The 2 pin plug(s) on the ZX12 PCIII loom connect to the brake light switch circuit and take a +12V feed from this circuit. The original bike loom continues on through this bridged connection.
The black wire with ring tag on the PCIII loom connects to the -12V chassis of your car.

The main PCIII 16 pin plugs are used to break-in to the bike loom.

Its going to be a pain trying to wire a PCIII without the corresponding connectors on your loom.

I hope you kept the original plug & socket and left tails so you can re-connect

Thanks.

Yes still got the original plug.

Not looking forward to refitting it.

I have a JAW wideband fitted.
Hopefully some time so will be on the road to check the stock setup.
