ZZR 1100 exhaust manifold

Hi,

I currently have a homemade manifold on the car,The exhaust headers are just cut and welded up to suit car at the moment which means the headers are not of equal length,Is there alot to gain by getting a custom manifold for this and if so does anyone know where I might come across one ??

Thanks in advance

Just had my manifold finished.

It came better than expected, with tuned, equal primarys in a 4-2-1 settup.

I would say that a tuned manifold would be benificial to any engine.

See link above, i have posted a pic

I got my manifold for the Indy from AAS in Newcastle.

http://www.aas-exhausts.co.uk/

I didn't go for a tuned length system, as it was another £100 or so.

Unfortunately I don't have a before photo, so this one is in "used" condition!!

To be fair I think the car goes pretty well but I have read various posts regarding manifolds and the affects it can have on the car,My manifold at the minute just goes 4 into 1,good or bad,I have no idea !!

Thats a tider set up than mine Mike,What are the headers made out of ?

How long ago did they make that for you Mike ?

I wonder if they kept dimensions for future copies !

Hi!

The headers are stainless steel.

Was made about 4 years ago! (I've passed SVA and it's first MOT since!!!)

All of their work is bespoke, so I don't think they keep templates. Drive in, leave the car for a couple of days, drive out.

I am heading over there next week to see Adrad, which are on the same estate. Can talk to them about making a copy of mine if you want??

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for that mate,I'm still unsure wheter to go for tuned headers or go for something similar to my own.I dare say the cost will determine that !!
If don't mind me asking,What kind of money were you talking for your set up ?

Cheers Mike
