ZX9R RR
Took the car to a rolling road yesterday to get an ongoing issue sorted.
The problem is with pulling away at normal revs the car tries to die not every time but most.
so at the rolling road and a few tweaks were made to the carbs then 2 new fuel filters fitted.
still no difference, with the air filter off you can clearly see the sliders chatter when you put your foot down.
They then tested the flow rate of the fuel and found it to be 2 psi. At the time I couldn't remember what it was meant to be but the guy at the
rolling road said he thought it should be more and to save wasting any more of my money I should get a new pump to eliminate that before carrying
on.
Now from some posts on here it is said to be about 1.5-2 psi so im thinking the pump is fine and really don't want to fork out £155.91 + VAT for
a new pump.
So before I do, do you wonderfull people have any ideas?
I am a complete novice when it comes to these things so please explain like your talking to an idiot
Thanks

for the love of moses get a second hand pump! ANY pump off a big carbed bike will be fine, from as little as £5 on eblag.
I dont think thats your problem myself though, no better ideas but it doesnt feeling like that to me.

Thanks for the replys so far.
Paul, yes it is a bike pump infact it looks just like a zx9r pump from checking out the Bay.
When you say simple do you mean very simple or be careful not to let an unexpected spring shoot lots of little parts every where?
Thanks again
