Good day at Dynobike

Spent the morning at Dynobike, Malton, N Yorks with my MK Indy 1400zzr.
Been meaning to take it here for a while to see how much BHP and Torques this brilliant engine is making.
Paul tied down car and plugged the plugs.
First run was a very impresive 171.84bhp at the wheels
Paul reckoned to make that sort figure on one of the standard maps (on Power Commander) Air filter and exhaust system must of been about spot on!
So he set away tweaking and improving map until finally the end result was:-
179bhp at wheels, (189bhp at crank)
107.56 torque at wheels!
Good result don't you think!
Thanks to Paul, highly recomended

good job mate

better than my original figures but I have removed my quaife reverse since then.

I assume that you are running full revs now?

cheers
Paul

Hi Paul
Yes i was very impressed with figures!
Speed sensors in the loom, but did'nt have time to make bracket and stick magnets before rolling road session, but its next on list!
Both bhp and torque is linear right through to 9600rpm peak output.
Need to get out and use it more now!
I've got a quaiffe reverse box in my current long term project (R1 Phoenix)
which i wish i did'nt have to fit, but IVA insists (not a lot of space for starter motor type reverse).
Dave

Just as a comparison, my figures were only 162bhp and 99 lbs/ft torque with the quaife. Feels faster and probably is without all of that mechanical drag/backlash.

I have a quaife and two piece prop sitting ready to go on ebay if you are interested.

done less than 200 miles...

drop me a line..

Paul.
