Displaying tax disc
For those without windscreens where do you display your tax disc?
I am currently waiting for my disc, and in anticipation I ave bought a motorcycle holder which will give some security for the disc. However where do
you fit it?
On the scuttle
On the dash
On the tunnel
is there a legal requirement?

Yes, any of the places listed, I think anywhere is accepatable provided they are clearly visible, but know doubt somone is about to come along and
know better. I saw one last week mounted on the rear exhaust mounting.

I believe it should be on the nearside of the vehicle, and easily visible.
Mines just under the dash on the inside of the car out of the rain and easy pickings

If it's a bike disc holder it should be weatherproof. I put mine on the outside of the scuttle

I think i read somewhere that it should be on the nearside of the vehicle and on display at all times.
If it were me, id mount it on the dash somewhere on the near side, or on the side panel, on the inside of the car.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I put mine through the laminating machine to stop it getting wet. Then I had it fastened to the isolating key! I never leave the car parked anywhere
so I don't need it to be on display and I always have it with me when I'm in the car!

One i looked at buying it had the tax on the chassis by the LHS front wheel, not very visable, but most people would find it if they needed to.

I don't display it just keep it on my person when driving the car, wasn't a problem when I got pulled the other week. They had already
checked my tax status on their database prior to stopping me.

Right then, here's what I heard from Mr. SVA Newcastle...
Must be on the nearside visible from the front for a scamera to read it as you drive past.
Seeing as they can check the tax with your reg number so can't see the point of that.
That's what I've heard, but mine is under the dash bolted down with the scuttle bolt.
