Checking 99 R1 oil level
Hello all, a silly question no doubt but how do I check the oil level on the 99 R1 engine in my Indy? I realise there is a sight glass, but where is
it, and where would you fill the oil level up?

The sight glass is below the gearbox cover on the front of your engine. When the engine is warm and still idling, look at the window. You should be
able to see the oil line half way up. You can only see it on mine when the daylight is just so. I fill up to the top of the window too to counter
oil surge in a car application.
The oil filler cap is on the gearbox cover.
